K Villa in El Nido, Palawan
Year 2025
Scale 800 m²
Location El Nido, Palawan
Status Completed

Nestled in the lush landscape of El Nido, the villa is designed around its most remarkable asset: uninterrupted views toward the rice terraces and river valley below. The architecture opens itself toward the horizon, letting the surrounding landscape become an integral part of everyday living.

Rather than competing with nature, the villa acts as a quiet frame for the scenery beyond. Large openings, shaded terraces, and an infinity pool are positioned to strengthen the connection between interior and landscape, drawing the eye outward toward layered views of rice fields, flowing water, and tropical vegetation.

The concept balances openness with a sense of grounding. While the architecture reaches toward the horizon, its materiality stays rooted in place, with exposed solid timber, traditional shingle roofing, natural stone, and handcrafted details that bring warmth, texture, and authenticity.

Responding to Palawan's tropical climate, deep overhangs, natural ventilation, and generous semi-outdoor spaces blur the boundary between inside and outside, letting light, air, and nature move freely through the house.
